About StayHomeWell

StayHomeWell started because someone we love needed help staying in their own home — and every website we found was either trying to sell us something we didn't need, or written by someone who'd clearly never had to figure this out themselves.

We wanted one place that would tell us: what to buy, why, how to install it, and — the part nobody talks about — how to get a stubborn parent to actually use it.

What we do

We research, review, and recommend aging-in-place products. Grab bars, medical alerts, shower chairs, home elevators, mobility aids — the things that keep your parent safe and independent at home.

Every recommendation on this site is something we'd tell our own family to buy. We don't list everything on the market. We pick the best options and explain why.

How we make money

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. That means if you buy something through our link, we earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the site running without charging you anything.

We'll always tell you when a link is an affiliate link. And we never let commissions influence our recommendations. If a higher-paying product isn't the best option, we won't recommend it. Period. Read our full disclosure.

Who this is for

If you're the one driving to your parent's house after work, the one Googling "bathroom safety for elderly parent" at midnight, the one your siblings call when they're worried but won't actually do anything — this site is for you.

You don't need a 47-page guide. You need someone to say: buy this, put it here, and here's how to handle it when Mom says she doesn't need it.

That's what we do.
